Voyager Pharmaceutical Corp.  Expands Senior Staff To Support Growth Period

Maynard Lichty Appointed New Vice President, Manufacturing and Technical Operations at Specialty Pharmaceutical Company

Raleigh, NC, February, 8, 2005 - Voyager Pharmaceutical Corp., the specialty pharmaceutical company focused on diseases of aging and development,  today announced the appointment of Maynard Lichty to the position of Vice President, Manufacturing And Technical Operations. Lichty will focus on manufacturing practices for the company's emerging Alzheimer's disease (AD) treatment, as well as all related technical and regulatory matters.

Lichty brings to this new post more than 27 years experience in pharmaceutical process and product development, including various technical positions at Wyeth Laboratories and GlaxoSmithKline. Most recently, he served as Senior Director, Technical Operations at Trimeris, Inc. managing the transfer and development process for production of the anti-HIV medication FuzeonĀ® (enfuvirtide, T-20). Lichty was responsible for the scale-up of the manufacturing process from pilot plant to commercial scale, including supply chain development and related regulatory issues.

Voyager's Invention Center, headed by Dr. Christopher Gregory is conducting preclinical work in prostate cancer, A.L.S., Parkinson's disease and improving the post-natal development of premature infants. The company expects to have many of these programs moved to the clinic by the end of 2005.
